Busy with Banter

I've been working on a new project called Banter, whose primary focus is to be a collaboration tool centered around an easy-to-use contact management system (address book). It uses Telepathy (via telepathy-sharp goodness) under the covers and should eventually be pretty sweet.

We've done some work on getting it to use Adium Message Styles completely unmodified, but are still hitting a few snags with gtkmozembed not resizing properly and sometimes crashing. Hopefully, we'll eventually have the know-how to figure out what the problems are with that widget or someone brave out there will help figure out the problems. It certainly makes skinning the chat window super easy.

Banter's source code is available in GNOME SVN. We're also trying to keep as much as possible wide open. We all hang out in #banter on gimpnet and are making weekly releases. We need to make a first announcement on the gnome-announce mailing list. We've been holding back until we have something a bit more runnable, but with enough coercion, an announce email will be posted soon.

Time to plan this week's Banter iteration...

Hey, that looks really cool. I'm looking forward to trying it out!

I'd been wondering what you were doing with JSCall#. BTW, the latest revision is fully managed code (architecture-independent) so that the dll can now be bundled directly with apps.
