It was a successful hack week! Sandy and I pulled an all-nighter Thursday to make sure our demo would work Friday. Without saying much more, I've put together a little demo.
See the video demo by clicking here.
See still screenshots here.
There are still a lot of things we need to do before feeling comfortable about committing the code to trunk, but you're welcome to give it a shot. It's in the "tomboy-sync" branch.
WARNING: Before you "try it out" make sure you make a backup copy of your existing Tomboy Notes (~/.tomboy). We can't guarantee everything works 100% yet.

Yummy. I've been waiting for Tomboy note synchronization for ages. Now I'll just have to wait for someone to port Tomboy to the Nokia N800 :-)
By the way, the last confirmation dialog is very non-GNOME-ish. Buttons that say "Yes" and "No"? They should say "Clear" and "Don't clear", or whatever that question was about (see, I already forgot it ;).
Hi, I was thinking it is probably a good idea to leverage some of the work done on conduit - that already has things like conflict resolution etc, it would also enable people to sync notes from tomboy or from a main sync UI that conduit offers.
Awesome! Let me update my tomboy source code.
marius, it is a working in progress: http://code.google.com/p/tomboy-maemo/
Jon: The work we have done will also benefit Conduit greatly. We just wanted to make sure we had something that would work out of the box when we ship Tomboy 0.8.0.
Everaldo: Hopefully there's a good FUSE port for Maemo?
